Sanjiv joined Round13 in the beginning of 2020 to establish the Round13 Growth Fund as a Founder and Managing Partner. Sanjiv has spent 20+ years in the technology & healthcare sectors, and is one of Canada's most experienced and widely respected growth company advisors and financiers.
Prior to establishing the Round13 Growth Fund, Sanjiv headed the Technology, Media, Telecommunication (“TMT”), Sustainability and Healthcare investment banking group at a Canadian bank owned dealer.
During his professional career Sanjiv has advised a wide variety of Canadian growth companies on M&A, IPO and capital raising initiatives, including leading transactions for several of the most prominent public software-as-a-service companies in Canada. Some of Sanjiv’s most recent trusted clients have included Lightspeed POS, Shopify, Kinaxis, Halogen and Solium, and Sanjiv has acted in advisory roles for many other long-term clients including Pure Technologies, Com Dev, and RuggedCom.
Sanjiv holds a Bachelor of Arts, Economics from the University of Western Ontario, a MBA, Finance from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and an LLB, Law from Osgoode Hall Law School.
Bruce (@bruce_croxon) co-founded Round 13 Capital to address the market opportunity
created by the lack of funding
available to growth stage digital companies in Canada.
He spent the first half of his career as a hands-on operator, piloting Lavalife from
infancy through to its sale in 2004
for $176 million. Today, Bruce engages regularly with Round13 portfolio companies
putting his operational and marketing
expertise to work as an investor and partner.
Bruce is a regular speaker and commentator in the Canadian business community. He is the
co-host of The Disruptor on BNN
and was formerly a dragon on CBC’s Dragons’ Den.
John is passionate about mentoring great entrepreneurs. Investing for over 20 years, he
first provided the initial
funding to Softimage, the world-leading 3D animation and first ever public company
bought by Microsoft. In 1994, John
co-founded McLean Watson Capital, one of the most successful technology investors in
Canada. Start-up funding was
provided to FloNetwork (sold to Doubleclick) and Fortiva (sold to Proofpoint). McLean
Watson was also the majority
investor in i4i, and driving force behind its patent infringement victory against
Microsoft. Through its investment in
Lavalife, John met Bruce which eventually led to their co-founding of Round13 Capital.
John held senior positions in M&A and public financing with Wood Gundy. He is a past
President and Chair of the Canadian
Venture Capital Association and for several years, a judge of the Entrepreneur of the
Year Award.
Danielle Micallef
Director of Finance

Danielle is a twenty-four-year Certified General Accountant/ Chartered Professional Accountant with twenty plus years of clean-up, start-up and reorganization experience in Venture Capital, Technology, and various service-related industries. She has developed, managed the full back office, accounting, financial and investor reporting functions for Venture Capital Funds as well as the Fund Managers, and service-oriented corporations in Ontario & Alberta.
Alex is an original member of the Round13 Growth investment team and is actively involved in originating and executing new investments. He brings to the team nearly 10 years of experience in growth equity, private equity and corporate finance in the Canadian and European markets.
Prior to joining Round13 Growth, Alex was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in the Principal Investment Area, the equity investing arm of GS' Merchant Banking Division, based in London, UK. Prior to that, he held investing and corporate finance roles at Teachers' Private Capital and RBC Capital Markets.
Alex holds an MBA from INSEAD and an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
Ryan Chiu
Analyst

Ryan is a member of the Round13 Growth investment team and is actively involved with executing new investments.
Prior to joining Round13 Growth, Ryan held investing roles at Ripple Ventures and White Star Capital, working with founders and evaluating investment opportunities ranging from the seed stage to series B.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Waterloo, where he was a founding member of the UW Student Venture Fund.
